1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Make Simple Events ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Make Simple Events provides event management software allowing users to:

• Create and publish events
• Manage guest RSVPs
• Send email notifications
• Export guest lists (Pro+ tiers)
• Accept payments for events (Unlimited tier)

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

• You must provide accurate information
• You are responsible for account security
• One account per person/organization
• Must be 16 years or older

3.2 Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time
• We may suspend accounts for Terms violations
• No refunds for partial subscription periods

4. Subscription Plans

4.1 Tiers

• Free: 2 events/month, 25 guests/event
• Pro (39 SEK/month): 10 events/month, 100 guests/event
• Unlimited (299 SEK/month): Unlimited events, 500 guests/event

4.2 Payments

• Subscriptions billed monthly via Stripe
• Prices in Swedish Krona (SEK)
• Payment due at start of billing cycle
• VAT included for EU customers

4.3 Cancellation & Refunds

• Cancel anytime (no long-term contracts)
• No refunds for partial months
• Downgrade takes effect next billing cycle
• Free tier features remain after cancellation

5. User Conduct

You agree NOT to:

• Use Service for illegal activities
• Spam or harass other users
• Upload malicious content or viruses
• Violate intellectual property rights
• Impersonate others
• Scrape or automate access without permission

6. Content Ownership

6.1 Your Content

• You retain ownership of events, descriptions, images
• You grant us license to display/process your content for Service operation
• You are responsible for content legality and accuracy

6.2 Our Content

• Make Simple Events platform, design, and features are our intellectual property
• You may not copy, modify, or reverse-engineer the Service

7. Event Organizer Responsibilities

As an event organizer, you:

• Are responsible for event accuracy and safety
• Must comply with local laws and regulations
• Handle guest data in accordance with GDPR
• Are liable for refunds/disputes with guests (for paid events)

8. Liability & Disclaimers

8.1 Service Availability

• Service provided "as is" without warranties
• We do not guarantee 100% uptime
• We are not liable for data loss (backup your data)

8.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
• Total liability limited to amount paid in last 12 months
• We are not responsible for third-party services (Stripe, email providers)

8.3 Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Make Simple Events against claims arising from:

• Your use of the Service
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your event content or activities

9. Third-Party Services

We integrate with:

• Stripe: Payment processing (see Stripe Terms)
• Resend: Email delivery
• PostHog: Analytics

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms.

10. Intellectual Property

10.1 Trademarks

"Make Simple Events" and our logo are trademarks of Make Simple Events.

10.2 Copyright

All platform content (design, text, graphics) is protected by copyright.

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Swedish law.

11.2 Jurisdiction

Disputes resolved in Swedish courts.

11.3 Informal Resolution

Contact support@makesimple.events before legal action.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Changes posted on this page with updated date. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

13. Beta Program

13.1 Beta Users

Selected users may receive free Pro tier for testing (3 months).

13.2 Feedback

Beta users may be asked for feedback to improve the Service.

14. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access:

• For Terms violations
• For fraudulent activity
• With 30 days notice for Service discontinuation
